From a very elaborate Massachusetts estate, previously acquired from Christies sale of "The Alexander Collection" comes this superb antique carved marble statue in the manor of Etienne-Maurice Falconet. It depicts a seated female bather feeding her spaniel, emblematic of Fidelity, on a naturalistic rocky plinth and fluted columnar pedestal. It has nice detail and bears Christies labels, along with collection numbers 52881 and a small sticker with the number 27210.
Approximate Size - 11 Inches by 6 inches across the base
Age - 19th Century
Condition - We find only a couple insignificant tiny flecks along the bottom edge of the plinth she is sitting on, they are hidden when setting on the pedestal, mentioned for accuracy, see photos for complete assessment. Please ask if additional photos are necessary.
