This piece features expressive brushwork and a softly layered palette, offering a contemporary yet timeless interpretation of botanical subject matter perfect for a variety of interior styles.

This painting began with a trip to a local dahlia farm. It is a quiet still life, like something you might notice in the corner of a room and look at more intently over time. This piece is part of an ongoing series of floral oil paintings made in my studio.

about my work:
I'm a visual artist with a BFA from Laguna College of Art & Design, where I majored in drawing and painting, working primarily from life and the nude figure. My work is inspired by nature, my everyday surroundings, and a collection of old photographs. I show in galleries and exhibitions in addition to selling directly from my studio.
