Inspired by Italian majolica from Deruta, Faenza, and Urbino, the elaborate design features scrolling arabesques and classical motifs that evoke the grandeur of the Renaissance.

Though they share the same intricate pattern, each vase has its own distinctive form: one with a gracefully curved Medici-style handle and spout, the other with elegant twin cobalt-blue handles that add a striking contrast to the delicate decoration. Originally designed in the 1880s, this pattern was revived in the 1940s–1950s, as confirmed by their marks.
