A spectacular French mid-19th century Louis XVI style mahogany and marble center table. The rectangular frame is crowned with a slab of Calacatta type marble in ethereal veining of green, gold, and burgundy swirled in the creamy white stone. Each side of the apron is animated by linear ormolu in a motif alternating between rococo shells and stylized palmette design. The table is raised by cigar-shape, solid wood legs mounted with brass dagger leaf capitals and sabots to reiterate the Neoclassical influence, braced by a low stretcher. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax this impressive centerpiece is ready to join your interior. Please view the detailed images.
