Carved opal measures 40mm x 36mm (8mm thick). Old European and rose cut diamonds total an estimated 0.15 carats (estimated at I-J color and SI1-I1 clarity). 3 small calibre cut rubies (lab).

The bold and beautifully detailed necklace highlights a large hand carved opal cameo drop. The side profile of a woman is carved from one solid natural piece of opal that lights up in a kaleidoscope of colors. Vivid green, blue, purple, yellow orange and turquoise all dance with every movement. A truly magical necklace that comes with the original leather fitted case from J Lewis Jeweller. The necklace is a testament to fine jewelry of the era and is in good condition considering its age (over 100 years old!). A distinct and very wearable piece today that makes a stunning statement on the neck!

The necklace was very lightly cleaned with care taken to preserve the patina and collector value.
