Vase / Soliflor in glass, Celadon green, 70's – France
Extraordinary soliflor vase made in the 70s in France. This vase has a stylized and elongated silhouette, with a rounded base that progressively narrows to form a very long and slender neck. It really is that large neck, the distinctive feature of this piece. In addition, the surface of the glass shows subtle raised lines that accompany the curvature, providing texture and a dynamic visual effect, then accentuating the shine. For its part, the celadon green tone is characteristic of certain ceramics and glazes used in the history of design, evoking the tradition of Chinese porcelain and its reinterpretation in 20th century design. Large size, more than ninety centimeters high.
