Rectangular mid-century coffee table in Bauhaus style. Probably 1960s. Walnut veneered. Without marking.
Puristic, linear design with an elegant veneer appearance, which is particularly characterized by the lack of transitions in the grain of the satin walnut veneer on the panel.
Dimensions: 65 cm high, 160 cm wide, 65 cm deep
Frame thickness: 6 cm
Comparable models in design history are the “Krefeld” coffee table by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for Knoll from 1927 and the so-called “Parsons Table” which the American designer Milo Baughman also adopted a few decades later.
