This midcentury-era fireplace tool set will look just right in a contemporary/modernist setting. Made in the USA by the Pilgrim Fireplace Manufacturing Co. (and said to be a George Nelson design), it includes a clean-lined base and frame, which holds four tools: a poker, shovel, broom/brush, and log grabber/tongs. Rendered in matte black wrought iron, it is a sturdy, weighty piece of fireplace equipment.
The set is in very good vintage/pre-owned condition, showing light wear consistent with age and use. The shovel has some rust on the edge (see photo) and there is some light wear on the top of the frame where the tools are suspended (see photo).
