This is a Louis XV style basket-shape crystal glass and bronze chandelier from approximately 1860. This is a beautiful example of French antique lighting from the mid-19th century featuring:
- Substantial crystal elements
- Elegant, curved form
- Basket-shape design
- Bronze frame with gilt/brass finish
- Crystal glass pendants and drops in various shapes (pear/teardrop, ball)
- Candle-style lights with crystal bobeches (drip pans)
- Ornamental crystal ball finial at the bottom
- 12-light configuration
- Dimensions: 24" x 32" with a 24" chain
- Excellent condition, the framework has maintained its patina
- Provenance: a Manhattan estate
