The deep blue glaze varies in turquoise and aqua green shades and undertones and has a beautiful sheen. The hand carved patterns of lines, dots and Xs on each figurine produce a Brutalist mid-century modern aesthetic. The whole is finished in a gorgeous high quality glaze.

Bitossi (or Manifattura Cavaliere Bitossi e Figlia) was founded by Guido Bitossi in Florence, Italy in 1921. The Bitossi Foundation released the biography of the master Aldo Londi and presented a show dedicated to him, titled “Aldo Londi, a 20th Century Ceramist.” See less
