Large Mid-Century Teak Desk by Torbjørn Afdal for Bruksbo, 1960s.
Scandinavian Mid Century Modern freestanding executive teak desk. Attributed to Torbjørn Afdal, manufactured by Haug Snekkeri for Bruksbo Norway. Large timeless elegant writing desk custom made for Norwegian oil company in the 1960s.
Deep drawers with hanging folders section and topdrawer with three loose trays. Fronts with pulls in solid teak.
Round tapered legs seamlessly integrated in the tables apron. Ample knee space for a wide office chair. Height under table 65.5 centimeters.
Strong and stable construction.
Good original condition with patina consistent with age and use. Nicks and scratches. Partial sun fading on table top. Key included. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
