This hand knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak rug showcases a traditional floral medallion on a faded field framed by pale lavender spandrels and ziggurat end-pieces. The cusped and stepped medallion is anchored by palmette finials and features stylized florals and angular vines. A primary border features star flowers and angular vines surrounding checkerboard patterns in an asymmetrical, organic display. Meanwhile inner and outer carnation meander guard borders further unify the composition. Barber pole stripes frame the innermost border, adding depth and movement across the carpet frame.
