They were made … Read more These rare bedside tables were made in the 1950s for a large villa overlooking the Adriatic Sea. They were made in Cantu where Paulo Buffa was specially commissioned by the owners for their summer residence. The wood is cherry and the handles on the drawers and feet are solid brass. There are clear glass shelves to complete the design. The quality of the work is evident with the solid cherry wood with mahogany veneer drawer fronts, the brass detail of the handle and drawer feet. Small embellishments, such as the scroll finish in the design all suggest Paulo Buffa's design. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
