A rare Italian ‘Epoca I’ wall mirror designed by Nanda Vigo for Sica in 1991. Resembling a cloud, the oblong frame is composed of satin glass in a soft, aqua hue and features two layered organic forms. The wavy outer edge and off-center oval mirror glass gives beautiful movement to this striking piece. Unmarked. Italy, 1991.

Nanda Vigo (1936–2020) was an Italian artist, designer, and architect who pioneered a number of innovative techniques within modern and contemporary art. Her more recent designs have focused on sensory impulses, utilizing materials such as glass, mirrors, and neon lights. Throughout her career, Vigo collaborated with many famous Italian designers and artists including Gio Ponti, Lucio Fontana, and Piero Manzoni; she is also featured in multiple iterations of the Triennale di Milano, as well as the Venice Biennale.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with two holes on the backside for wall hanging. This mirror has been professionally rewired for U.S. by our team of restorationists.
