An iconic Italian Modernist table lamp designed by Vico Magistretti for Oluce in 1977. Known as the "Atollo 237," this lamp is celebrated for its minimalist yet bold geometric structure. It features a cream mushroom-form silhouette composed of metal with three basic forms: a cylindrical base, conical middle, and hemispherical shade.
Awarded the prestigious Compasso d’Oro in 1979, the Atollo lamp quickly became a design classic, earning a place in the permanent collections of major design museums worldwide. Its enduring appeal lies in its balance of form and function, creating a luminous sculpture where every element is essential, and nothing is superfluous. Italy, 1977.
Condition: Good overall vintage condition. Minor surface marks and scuffs, as shown in photos. This lamp has been professionally rewired for U.S. use with a dimmable switch and black cord. Accepts two standard base light bulbs.
