A 1960s French table top wall sculpture signed by ceramic artist Jean D'asti. During the Mid 20th Century, Jean D'asti operated his workshop in Vallauris, a picturesque seaside village in the South of France renowned for its pottery. This piece has a rectangular solid wood frame and fascinating enameled ceramic inlaid center. The hand-painted tiles, in beige, taupe, and chocolate brown hues, feature abstract patterns that create a striking visual composition. Artist signature present on surface. Sourced in France, 1960s.
Condition: Great overall vintage condition. The wood frame has been oiled by our team of restorationists. D-rings present on the backside for hanging vertically or horizontally. Artist signature in bottom right corner and original sticker at top left.
