A pair of Mid Century Les Arcs chairs attributed to Charlotte Perriand. These chairs feature tubular chrome frames with stitched cognac leather seats and backs, which attach to the frames with leather straps and metal hardware. Unmarked. Sourced in France, 1970s.
These chairs are documented in Charlotte Perriand: An Art of Living, McLeod, pg. 190-195 discuss Arc Mobilier Charlotte Perriand: A Life of Creation, Perriand, ppg. 113-125 detail constructing and furnishing Les Arcs.
Condition: Great vintage condition. A rich patina to the leather seats includes marks and discoloration, which we believe adds to the rustic character of these iconic chairs. Minor oxidation to the chrome frames is concentrated on the seats and support bars.
