in beautiful black frames veneered in briar.
engraver: richard earlom, born in london in 1743 and died there in 1822, a pupil of cipriani, he became a true virtuoso in the mezzotint technique, in which he introduced methods of his own invention, creating a completely personal style.
from the subject of claude lorrain, the famous french painter.
period: plate dated 1774 and 1776, printed in the second edition of the first decade of the 19th century
dimensions 50 x 45 cm
