Rare Dan Bugle tribe African monkey mask Hand-carved from one piece of wood by the Dan people of the Ivory Coast, this mask, known as a Bugle mask, was often used to create chaos during pre-war ceremonies. Despite obvious signs of use and wear, this mask remains in overall good condition .
The Dan tribe, along with the Guere and Yacouba sub tribes, reside in the rainforests of Western Ivory coast and Liberia. This mask, with its primitive charm and minor losses, measures 14.5" in height and 6.75" in depth with a width of 7".
