Philip Thomson Gilchrist born at Stanwix, near Carlisle. He was educated in Hampshire and studied under Tom Mostyn. Elected to the Royal Society of British Artists in 1906 and was a member of the Liverpool and Manchester Academies of Arts. Gilchrist worked in Lancashire and lived at Sunderland Point near Lancaster. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Society of British Artists. See less
