Attributed to designer Alfredo Barbini for the Salviati company, circa 1950s. The entire surface of the main body has a ribbed design. The decanter is profusely covered in gold leaf throughout, with alternating white and orange stripe pattern. The bottle also has some clear parts in between the stripes, and has an angular shape at the lower bottom. Has a white and gold leaf applied foot. The piece has the original twisting flame stopper. Would make a great display piece on any table, credenza or mantel. Display it as a decorative piece, or take off the stopper and use it as a flower vase. Mid-century era. Measures 21" tall x 6" wide.
