Charming & whimsical signed antique oil on canvas painting depicting a mouse exploring an artist's palette likely in a French Garrett. The frame is outstanding and appears to be original to the piece. It is signed Friday in the lower left corner (see close up photo.) E.H. Friedrich invented the tongue and groove design for Fredrix stretcher bars in 1875 which helps date the piece.
