It quickly made its way to Rome, eventually entering the Borghese family collection. Purchased by Napoleon in 1807, the sculpture was brought to France, where it now resides in the Louvre. Although originally dubbed a "gladiator," most art historians today agree that the figure actually represents a warrior in combat. See less
