flavio poli (1900-1984) was an italian glass artist celebrated for his pioneering work with the renowned glassmaker seguso, as its artistic director from 1937 to 1963. His mastery of the sommerso technique earned him widespread acclaim. Poli's most famous pieces include the vibrant sommerso vessels, characterized by their bold colors and organic shapes, which became iconic symbols of mid-century murano glass design.
