French version only, 224 pages, 163 color and black-and-white reproductions. Dust jacket has one very minor blemishes on binding side edge while red fabric hardcover is in mint condition. Book is like new.
On their website, The Foundation Cartier for Contemporary Art describes this book as, “Literature is full of the discourse of love, but it is through images that man expresses the mystery of love most intensely. The exhibition Amour presented at the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain in 1997 brought together 100 old and contemporary works (drawings, paintings, sculptures, photographs, as well as video and film) and invited visitors to take a different look at them, over and above their historical roots.
