A contemporary hand pulled serigraph on 100% rag paper with silver leafing applied by hand titled "Gran Oriente" by Orlando Agudelo Botero, as known as Orlando A.B. Hand signed lower left with an annotation of 32/100 on the lower left. Circa 1990s. A chic figurative composition with a modernist Art Deco flair. From a private collection; original paperwork included in the lot. Dimensions: 36"h x 46.25"w x 2"d (framed). In very good vintage condition.
Orlando Agudelo Botero (1946- ) is a Colombian-American artist whose work explores themes of spirituality, identity, and the human condition. Drawing on his cultural heritage and personal experiences, Agudelo Botero’s art is characterized by vibrant colors, dynamic compositions, and symbolic imagery that reflect his deep connection to both his Colombian roots and his life in the United States. Agudelo Botero’s journey as an artist began in Colombia, where he developed a passion for art at a young age before moving to the United States. His work has been exhibited internationally and is held in numerous private and public collections, including The Carter Presidential Library, NBC Corporate Headquarters at the Rockefeller Center, The Fine Arts Museum of Long Island and The Betty Ford Center.
