The piece was … Read more Here is a beautiful antique samovar from the 19th c. made from pewter with wood accent details. The piece was likely used for water or wine - the lid lifts off and there is a spout in the front with a knob to twist and open the spout. It works great! Very clean interior too. The samovar is adorned with griffin heads holding rings on the sides, with a scalloped shaped top rim and urn body shape. It sits on a wooden base, but can be lifted off for cleaning, etc. See less
