French silver by André Risler and … Read more Antique 18th century Vienna porcelain ornithological bowl decorated with parrots. Mounted in 19th c. French silver by André Risler and Georges Carré (Paris, a. 1897-1912). The bowl is bright white with a delightful scene of a chartreuse green parrot perched on a branch with cherries on one side, and two birds in red and yellow and blue on a branch on the other side. The silver rim and foot are elegantly designed with spiraled ribbon and leaf motifs. Beehive mark on the base. Measures 8" diameter x 4 1/8" tall. Good condition; silver is tarnished. See less
