A pair of exquisite and superb Japanese stem vases which date to the mid or late 19th century, the Edo or Meiji period when beautiful and intricate art work was being exported to meet the appetite of the west. This pair of vases are of high quality Bronze and feature highly detailed Dragons each holding a pearl or jewel. These items are believed to be from the workshops of master craftsman, Genryusai Seiya, his workshops specialising in export wares of the highest quality at this time. Indented back-stamps clearly visible for each piece.
The height of each piece is 8.25 inches, (21cm).
Weight of each is 980g.
Condition, undamaged, patination with minor fade.
