Beautiful green, yellow and rust earth tones, layer upon layer, drawing you into view what is within and beneath the surface. The artist coated the aluminum with layer upon layer of paint and sanded it down over and over to create a smooth seamless surface with layers of colors, it's really quite beautiful.

It has been hung inside away from the sun, only cleaned with a soft cloth to avoid scratching the paint. The technique used to create this work has proven to be very durable and as far as I can tell does not show any signs of wear. less
