A beautiful vintage bent wooden box known as a "Svepask" from Sweden. This item can be dated to 1947 and derives from Gagnef in the Dalarna region. It has been decorated with a traditional pattern known as "Kurbits". It is in fantastic condition with a lovely patina. It is made out of birch wood and constructed with roots from a birch tree. There are some minor dents in the wood, yet given its age, it is still in really good condition and a beautiful historical object. This will be a unique interior feature in a traditional farmhouse kitchen or in any setting.
This box is 21 cm (8.26'') wide, 11cm (4.33'') deep and 8.5cm (3.34'') high.
