A beautifully composed Danish modern oven dish from the iconic Anker Line, designed by Jens Harald Quistgaard for Nissen and produced by De Forenede Jernstøberier in the 1950s–60s.
This piece perfectly captures the essence of Scandinavian mid-century design—where function meets sculptural form. The deep, glossy navy enamel contrasts elegantly with the soft, light grey interior, while the integrated rattan-wrapped handle and sculptural wooden stand elevate the piece into something far beyond utilitarian cookware.
The tripod base in solid wood, combined with the warm rattan detailing, gives the object an almost architectural presence. It is equally suited for serving at the table as it is for display—an object that bridges kitchenware and collectible design.
Quistgaard’s work for Dansk and related productions remains highly sought after for its refined balance of rustic materiality and modernist clarity. This example stands out thanks to its complete configuration and excellent condition.
A timeless and highly decorative piece of Danish design history—both functional and sculptural. This piece has an attribution mark,
