The glass is removable and stands 5ft tall (This information is very important for transporting services). This quality glass is large and very heavy. I rented a U haul to transport this glass. It will not fit in most large size vehicles. The wooden base pedestal is constructed of hardwood. The base measures (H) 30". It takes two people to carry the item.
