The decoration on this piece simply magical - taking her inspiration from nature - there is an organic quality to the piece. This is part of the 'Paprika' range and, at the time, was extremely different to what was commonly produced in terms of aesthetics. The use of the sgrafito technique, however, was quite common at the time. Brown scraffito with overlaid leaves and flower glazed in white.

Beautiful and hard to find piece, especially in the larger size. Typically, the bowls / dishes tend to be a lot smaller - if you can find them. See less
