Stunning sculpture. He is a large enough size to be noticed, but small enough that it won’t be hard to find a place for him. He has lots of detail and such great texture and patina! This has been treated with what the Japanese call shou sugi ban, which is carefully burning the wood of the finished piece to protect it and then oiling it. I believe this piece is really old, possibly antique. The condition is very good with some minor scrapes as seen in the photos and fantastic patina and some small candle wax splatter. See less
