This Vintage Turkish Tulu Rug features a contemporary design and is hand woven in the Oushak region of Western Turkey. The wool fibers used are a mix of Angora and New Zealand, giving it a lustrous and soft texture. Measuring 5'5" x 6'7", Tulus, which loosely translates to "Hairy", are traditionally hand knotted with Angora hair on wool kilims. Originally used by nomadic tribes as blankets and mattresses to stay warm on the Anatolian plateau, these rugs are now coveted for their vibrant colors and bold geometric patterns, making them the perfect accent piece for any modern space.
