Rare “Palle” stool in pine wood. Produced in the 1970s by K.J. Pettersson & Söner, Sweden. More of a spatial object than seating furniture. Straight sides with seat recess. Great age-appropriate patina. One side of the foot appears to have been re-glued. Designer unknown, often previously attributed to Axel Einar Hjorth.
The stool was made from several individual pine squares glued together and given its sculptural shape. Each stool has its own pattern due to the wood grain, which makes each piece unique.
