The chair was … Read more Pair of armchairs Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Charlotte Perriand, LC1 chair by Cassina, Made in Italy, 1978. The chair was designed by Le Courbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand in 1928 and was relaunched in 1975. Manufactured by Cassina in Italy. The structure is tubular steel frame, polished chrome finish. The springs under the seat and in the back are nickel-plated and are used to secure and anchor the upholstery. Upholstery consists of self-supporting fabric with natural leather trim. The feet are made of plastic with a black finish. The chairs are in perfect condition and have the attribution mark. Cassina's 1 Fauteuil à Dossier Basculant, designed by the legendary Le Corbusier, was first presented at the 1929 Salon d'Automne along with other iconic pieces such as the 2 Fauteuil Grand Confort and 3 Fauteuil Grand Confort.
