Offering a RARE one-of-a-kind extra large art pottery table lamp by world renowned Italian ceramicist Aldo Londi, circa 1960s. This particular design is from the "Birch Tree" series that was designed by Aldo Londi himself in 1960 and manufactured by Bitossi, Italy.
This particular lamp was completely disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, and reassembled with a new brass socket, new brass harp and new electrical cord. The gilding on the wood portions including the base and the risers are remarkably intact. This particular lamp was well cared for over the years and now retains its monumental magnificence as a work of art. Please note, there are incised oblong shaped markings around the perimeter on the white birch area as well as oblong shaped markings on brown area near the bottom of the lamp. Please review all photos carefully as this item is a Collector's piece.
EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION. No Chips, No Cracks, No glaze loss, No gilding loss....nearly perfect!
