Base, Stem & Shade Frame are made of polished stainless steel. The shade material is silk which is tightly fitted to the stainless steel frame. The base is weighted to provide stability to this tall floor lamp. The lamp takes (2) incandescent standard bulbs which, when lit, provide a soft lighting hue within the room. The lamp is operated by a black "foot press button" that sits on the floor and is attached to a 10' long black cord with a standard wall outlet plug in. Alternatively, the lamp can be operated by a beaded silver pull chain that is connected to each of the 2 sockets. The design is of Asian influence but will integrate beautifully in a multitude of room design settings including Modern, Transitional or Traditional. Made in Italy by Baker, this lamp is truely a unique conversational piece. The lamp is in new, 1st quality condition (albeit no longer made) and has no previous owners. We currently have 3 of these lamps available (all in new, unused condition). See less
