Fenton has long been revered for its superior craftsmanship. In 1907, Fenton opened its company with a crystal cream pitcher with a water lily and cattails pattern and was the first to introduce carnival glass, a popular collector's item both then and today. Other leading collectibles include hobnail glass (with raised spheres on the surface of the glass) and milk glass. Fenton made glass for 104 years and remains popular and cherished to this day. The Fenton Art Glass Company was the largest manufacturer of handmade colored glass in the U.S. and remains among the foremost glass manufacturers in the world.
C Mackey, a registered artist for Fenton famous for this and other prized creations - all unique - is best known for her productions in the 1990s. This piece was hand crafted in Fenton's design studio in Williamstown, WV. It features a Persian silk tree with mimosa flowers and a distinctive feather appearing in the ridged outline shown vertically on the vase. The signature of Don Fenton symbolizes the vase's distinction as a museum collection piece. One of a kind and one to be treasured for years to come. Excellent Condition
