Beautiful mid century modern glazed ceramic bowl/catchall from Vallauris (France, 1960s/1970s). Hand painted in an expressive and vibrant mid-century modern French Riviera style (Vallauris is a village on the French Riviera close to Cannes, also known as the 'city of 100 potters'). The attractive colours used (orange, brown and white) in the glazing are particular of the style and designs of Vallauris ceramics.
Perfectly works as a centerpiece, a bowl or as a vide-poche/catchall or just for decorative use. Would make a beautiful addition to any mid-century home. Width: 9.1''; depth: 7.1''; height: 2.4''. Very good vintage condition. No chips, no cracks. Some barely visible minor surface scratches.
