This ceramic vase from the 60s has a brutalist aesthetic marked by its square shape which unfolds into an elegant triangle. Its interior is glazed, offering a smooth and shiny finish, contrasting with the rough and raw texture of the exterior. The opening of the vase is on the top side, adding an asymmetrical dimension to its design. In places, the pattern which adorns the surface evokes the skin of a reptile, with subtle reliefs and irregularities which accentuate its organic and almost wild appearance.
The vase bears a very slight lack of enamel at the edge of the opening, a barely visible imperfection that speaks to its unique character. The whole thing exudes visual power, with a mix of raw materials and a minimalist approach that pays homage to the spirit of the brutalist movement. This vase is a fine example of a bold and timeless design, combining functionality and aesthetics.
