This piece marks a pivotal shift in my work, introducing curved shapes a break from my usual linear geometric style. The neutral palette of browns, tan, and charcoal creates an understated, earthy feel, while the copper-painted edges with copper leaf add warmth and refinement.
The textured surface, created with oil paint and cold wax on Encaustiflex a microfiber material invites closer inspection, revealing subtle layers and depth. Mounted on a cradled panel, this piece is ready for hanging and represents a new series exploring innovative materials and forms. The piece can also be placed in a floating frame for a more formal look.
