This restored baroque chest of drawers is a true gem and a masterpiece of craftsmanship from around 1780. It combines functionality with artistic aesthetics and testifies to the highest artistry of the time. The front of the chest of drawers is a visual highlight, characterized by an exquisite veneer made of walnut and fruitwood. The fruitwood veneer that surrounds the softwood body has been carefully hand-polished and sealed with shellac, giving the natural grain a magnificent shine. The three drawers are field-shaped veneered with fruit wood and have an elegant marquetry that harmoniously rounds off the overall impression of the chest of drawers. The fine inlaid metal fittings give the piece of furniture additional charm and timeless elegance. Functionality is also very important: the smooth-running drawers can be locked with keys, which underlines both the practical use and the originality of the piece. The dimensions of the chest of drawers make it a perfect corner piece: the side recesses of 28 cm lead to a 45° angle that ends with a 57 cm wide back. The length of the angle is 51 cm, which makes the piece of furniture not only compact but also extremely adaptable. The cover plate is another highlight, marked in a field shape and provided with a finely crafted Kernt profile. Its surface was also hand-polished with shellac and fits harmoniously into the overall picture. The inside of the chest of drawers was also prepared with the greatest care and impresses with its pleasant scent, which emphasizes the high-quality restoration. This unique, rare piece is a true rarity that brings the style and elegance of the Baroque into your home - a dream for antique furniture lovers! Treat yourself to this dream copy while it is available. See less
