Extraordinary baluster-shaped bronze vase with multiple patinas, sculpted with a lizard observing a frog.
Note the exceptional quality of the carving which leads one to believe that the lizard is alive!
The underside is signed "Akichika" and is marked with a dragonfly-shaped seal.
Akichika appears to have worked as a goldsmith for the famous Maruki company.
