The tapestry showcases stunning colors of yellow, orange, black, and olive green against a cream-white background, crafted from premium wool yarn. It can be elegantly displayed as a wall hanging or used as a tablecloth. There is a sewn textile tag on the back of the tapestry that reads "Handmade, Vlasti (Βλαστή in Cyrillic letters), Greece." Additionally, there is a separate seal with the letters "IM," representing the Swedish humanitarian organization Individuell Människohjälp (Individual Human Help). In 1963, the Swedish humanitarian organization IM (Individuell Människohjälp, translating to "Individual Human Help") established a model weaving center in Vlasti, a picturesque mountainous village in Northern Greece. This initiative proved to be a significant blessing for local women, providing them with opportunities for employment and skill development. This intercultural project flourished for 25 years, profoundly impacting the lives of the women involved. In 2020, the weaving studio was the subject of an award-winning documentary titled "The Weavers," directed by Dimitris Koutsiabasakos, which highlights the rich history and cultural significance of this remarkable endeavor.
