We are selling this fine French bronze figure of a soldier smoking his pipe. This bronze is titled “Apres le Combat” and is signed and by Etienne-Henri Dumaige (French 1830-1888). The bronze has script signature on the side H Dumaige, several others of this type had a bronze plaque but this one does not appear to have had that and also has a very attractive copper colored patina.
Condition: Good condition. Some wear, on the elbow mostly, through to the brassy colored surface below the copper colored patina.
