Each carved burl is a unique … Read more This is a magnificent Ambrosia Maple Burled Wood Bowl that measures 16”-20” in diameter. Each carved burl is a unique piece. When carving, Stinson Studios strive to follow the naturally grown exterior form to achieve a balance between the natural exterior and the smooth carved interior. The burl is buried in the ground under wood shavings to age and darken. Once aged to satisfaction, it is carved, dried, sanded and finished.
