Built in 1842 as a place for religious and community activities. The founders stipulated that the house opened freely on weekdays, when requested, for conference meetings and for lectures and addresses on all religious, benevolent, moral and scientific subjects. Photos taken by Paul Cordes (1893-1979) New York. Notes on verso of each with the corresponding artists, include John Wallace, William King, Thomas Mikkelson and Alfred Blaustein. Photographers stamp on verso. Also includes original typewritten info and envelope from the Skowhegan School. Photos in excellent condition. See less
